pinterest payoff

Now here is something to get your creative juices flowing...

Pinned Image

difficulty: 3- all you need is some fabric paint, heels, and time.

time:  couple hours (only because you want the paint to dry before your second coat (that is, if you do a second coat)).

outcome: a great way to spruce up an old pair of heels.  Make it even more fun by getting a neon pink paint and pair with mint jeans!

pass or pursue?
no brainer- pursue!

difficulty: 1- pour, mix, spray = voila!

time:  total 2 hours, 5 minutes.  5 minutes of you getting the ingredients together and 2 hours to let the shower/tub soak

outcome:  after about 1 1/2 hours, I took a scrub brush to the shower and seriously- it worked like a gem!  I used seventh generation liquid soap instead of dawn (I use seventh generation since the product line is all natural) and it worked just as well as the reviews said!  The only down side would be your bathroom now smells like vinegar- I'm going to add an essential oil next time and see if that take cares of the "smelly" situation.

pass or pursue?

for reals?
it's cheap, effective, and safe for kiddos.
pursue!!

kiddo style

It's Tuesday and my laptop has felt better- I know it probably has to do with the fact that I let Linden watch videos from it- but now it cannot pick up an internet connection.
At some point it has to, right?!

anywho- I have a little girl and I am obsessed with finding the cutest outfits ever!
Here are some great websites I've found along the way...

This site has it all; toys, decor, and accessories for your little ones!
check out this wallpaper- the cutest!!

another huge favorite of mine.  great prices for those hard-to-find pieces.
Each piece is uniquely designed so it's hard to turn down any article of clothing (hey, I warned you!).
I've ordered a few- they start from 2-3 years, it's gotta be a real big 2 year old.

tea collection
a total "go-to" for me.
This brand is carried at lots of boutiques and even nordstrom.
They have the BEST onesies for babies- comfy and stylish rolled into "one"!

city sprouts
This is one of my favorite stores in St. Louis.
Not only can you shop online but the store has so much more to offer.
If you have a special occasion or a gift to get- go to this place.
Located in U City- you can walk around and browse the other local shops, have some lunch or stop by for a frozen yogurt.

morley cats dress
thumbeline
every. single. thing. is adorable.
you will go broke just looking at this site.
sheesh.
outta control cuteness.

h&m
not only does h&m have incredibly affordable kids clothing, they are always right on trend!
I'm loving their hats for kids right now- they come in a variety of sizes, so if your little one will keep a hat on- I say to check it out!
I also have to say I think their selection of clothing is actually cuter in the boys section.
There is just something about a mini grandpa sweater that tugs at my heart.

So, there you have it.
The sites I stalk week by week, day by day.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

week in review

This week my mom came in to hang with the fam.
tons of laughs, lots of coffee, and great memories were shared this week.
Every morning Linden shouts, "NANA!"
She just loves her!
(I think that feeling is reciprocated:))

Here are some of the great memories we've shared:

after airport pickup- straight to kaldi's to get a slow brewed cup of highlander grogg-
then of course, off to play at the park!

after giving my mom a "tour" of all the homes we have looked at in u city- a stop at my next favorite place
winslow's home
yummy, yummy, yummy.

Later that night my husband and I were able to watch our favorite band, who just so happens to be from STL,
The Pernikoff Brothers,
they opened for Willie Nelson at The Pageant-
flippin awesome show.
If you weren't there- you sure missed a good time!

good ol' willie!

Pernikoff and Willie

The next morning we started our day early (with a coffee stop first!) and headed over to my grandparents.
They live in a quaint, small town, Breese.
Linden had some fun in their garden- just started to get the flowers out with all this nice weather!

what's this mama?
a chipmunk?
why yes, I think I will take it!

new found favorite-
rocks.

ate at our favorite burger joint:
dairy queen king
I'm serious.
This is pretty much the only fast food place in this small, quaint town
and...
it's freakin awesome.
If you're familiar with steak-n-shake, imagine that, but 100x better!

see?  It is Dairy KING!!

nana and linden hanging out in a parking lot
(we were waiting for my grandparents, we just don't hang out in parking lots...promise.)

shoe time!

The next day proposed a hike and a picnic.

setting up shop!

linden exploring

nana and linden enjoying the weather, the water, and the food!

We had the best week ever!

grapefruit salad at winslow's home
although- this is not a picture of their particular salad- it is crazy good
arugula, grapefruit, avocado, and toasted macademia nuts with a lemon vinaigrette-
utterly refreshing- leaves your mouth wanting more...
which is why it's on my weekend wants.

I love breakfast- it's what gets me out of bed so dang early :)
well... I'll be completely honest- it's coffee and a baby :)
This breakfast sandwich will get your week rolling to a grreat start-
egg, bacon, avocado, and tomato.
done and done.

not me in the pic, but its definitely my weekend outfit go to!
stripes, layers...I added rainboots this weekend and some cat eye sunglasses- tres chic!
seriously though- it's comfy and the perfect transition from playgrounds with linden to the wine bar with the hubby!

5 weekend wants- go cards!!

Pinned Image
rain, rain, go away.
I actually love it when it rains.
It's cozy and gives you a good excuse to cuddle and watch a good movie...
except today is the home opener for our beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
But a little rain won't stop us from celebrating!!
