spring, glorious spring!

This weather has been quite the tease.  I'm awaiting to get dumped on with 10 feet of snow, but in the meantime, I am done with my winter clothes and ready for the old switch-a-roo.  yes, I realize, it really is way too early to begin switching my wardrobe around- but looking at the new anthropologie magazine did me in!  There's nothing better than a spring dress to put a spring in your step!

Digging the orange/red hues this season.  Lifts the mind and spirit.

bang, bang, bang, on those bangles

accessories...ahhh, oh how I love thee.  I also should add that when I met my husband he referred me to his family (before I even got to meet them) as miss. over-accessorizer. Which actually was quite a compliment...then.  Remember how "they" say, "before you leave you should take one thing off?"  Well... I just happen to add 5 new things.  Which brings me to my love of bangles...

this one screams goddess.
gold, rope, fringe.
It's just begging to be worn out.

this is a must have staple for an everyday outfit.
it reads an alice in wonderland quote- quite nostalgic if you ask me...

this one is too cool.
you get the look of a stacked bracelet- yet it doesn't clink and clank and the moss green cord sits comfortably around your wrist.
why isn't every girl wearing this one?

the colors scream look at me!
if you're in all black attire or rockin fuchsia jeans- these work.
how cute would they look with a swimsuit?
plus- they're cheap enough to wear in the ocean and not worry about losing one!

shall we got one of these in every color?
yep.
should we stack them?
yep.
should we wear them every day?
yep.

the hardest part of having a baby was not being able to wear accessories in fear of scratching my babe.  well- these are soft to touch and lay tight on your wrist- so moms...get some!

I totally want to look like this when I "grow up".
love the stacked bangles.  although she is quite accessorized, the color scheme keeps the outfit classy and cool.

ahhh, doesn't this just look like a romantic day of summer?
I'm thinking a little prossecco out by a river with large prairie grass overhead.
I know, I may be dreaming but I have some bracelets and a backyard and if I close my eyes and tilt my head just right...
well, it was worth a try.

I love how feminine they are.

although these would be a perfect gift,
I'm not so sure I could depart.
they are quite inspiring.
I'm beginning to see a clear picture;

...and for your diy project of the week:

since valentine's day is around the corner, here is a sweater to impress your significant other (and friends, since you made it and all!!)

festive and comfy.

baggin it.

With fashion week just around the corner- this month is going to be dedicated to some hard core fashion.  We're going to be talking about things from bags to britches.

As you can see from the post title- this one is all about the bag you bring it in.  It doesn't matter if it's large or small, designer or target- it only matters what it looks like; on the inside and out (just like my momma always said:)).  Here are some of my favorite bags for the season, and with spring just around the corner- feel free to carry it off with a print or "happy-go-lucky" color!

the cutest EVER.  It comes in an array of items; clutch, wallet, or coin purse.  I love the mix of vintage and romance pulled into one.  Take this one with you out on V day!

Yep.  It's the remix of the 80's but a thousand times better!
These are cheap enough to grab a couple for each outfit-
I love a good envelope clutch and when you've got it, you've got it.

I might just start getting into photography if I could have this sucker around my shoulder!
Love the colors and of course, the "it" bag of the season- the camera case.
I might just be off to my local antique shop, scouring the floor for a nice vintage version (and a little less pricey).

If you haven't seen these- now is the chance to jump at ANY bag you have ever wanted.
These designers are totally genius!!!
From the ever classic Hermes Birkin to the quilted Chanel, they have channeled the perfect gym/diaper/throw all your crap into one bag, bag.
They go fast, so when you see it, you better jump.

Perfect bag to take you into the spring and then into the fall, and then into the spring, and then...well, you get it.  It is the perfect bag for any season.  The richness of the color and the "surprise" compartment at the bottom.

how could you turn down this cute bag!  A carry all for those summer days ahead.  Pretty perfect if you ask me.

The classic stripe.
awww, I just love it anywhere and everywhere and apparently, I am not the only one.  Otherwise, this french staple would have been long gone in the days of Audrey but it seems to only become stronger.

The colors of the season- tangerine and fuchsia.
What a great combination- try it as an outfit: with a pink blouse and tangerine pencil skirt- add nude heels to elongate those legs- voila- you have an outfit for the office or a girls night out!

I love the mix of the neutral bag with the bright pattern.  Great addition to a basic t-shirt and jeans.

Still going strong with our tribal wear. This is a great bag for spring and summer-
Plus- you can wear it as a messenger which brings it up about a thousand notches in my book!

Pink is reigning again this season.  It has been spotted everywhere.  Carry this bag at all times.  It too cute not to.

now here's one for the art lover in all of us.
I wish I painted this one, but at least while I walk around with it, I can admire the art in hand.

This reminds me of the old hardware store bags that you can find all over chinatown.
I always wanted my own.
Now it looks like I can have one that will sit comfortably on my shoulder.

Take a little leopard with all the bold colors this season and you are sure to be a hit.
classy cool.

and we end with an all time classic.
the classic above all classics.
although on this particular one I have chosen to go with a pastel pink;
1- because valentine's day is coming up and...
2- because spring is coming up
and what better way to lift your mood than with pink and chanel!

how was your weekend?

the weather was cold- which was to be expected but a couple major things happened...
the first parade saluting our troops in STL was a huge success.  People lined the streets, made signs, wore shirts, just to thank our troops for our freedom and what they have done for the country.  It was a pretty cool sight.

the second awesome thing was that I went bowling...
Pernikoff Brothers were amazing (as always).  They are crazy talented and Mark and I enjoy ourselves so much when listening to them.
Next door to Pageant is a place called "Pin up Bowl", we used to go there all the time...but with a little girl that likes to go to bed at 8- it's a little more difficult these days.  We joined some friends and had a blast- as one always does while bowling.

my husband beating everyone... I used to be so good!

changing into my bowling gear (notice my diy glitter boots?  they surprisingly didn't come off!)

that me killing it on the bowl floor

giddy up.
