sea of red

If you weren't wearing red- you shouldn't be in town.  As most of you may know- The Cardinals became the "comeback kids" this year.  With a 1% chance of making it to the playoffs, they pulled that off and then came back in game 7 to win the world series.  Not only that- but the hero of all those games just happened to be a hometown boy- David Freese.  Sunday there was a parade downtown and let me tell you- it definitely choked me up.  Good stuff, good stuff.

go crazy!!

Now back to red- red wine was most delicious this weekend as well.  My husband and I headed out to Chandler Hill Winery for a friend's birthday- seriously, the weather was perfect.  I was able to take some pictures on my Iphone but they certainly won't do the view justice.  Not being a Missouri native, I never realized how beautiful Missouri actually is- I mean folks, there are hills and bluffs like no other.  With the trees beginning to change colors- this site was something else.  I opted for a pinot noir that day (which I was a little apprehensive about a Missouri wine) that was quite good.  I would definitely pick up a bottle at the local grocers.

So, as you pull up, this home is the first thing you see- I want it.  I would totally be feeling a little Sarah Richardson and rehab that place!!
The girls
(I'm the second to the left- teal boots)
The gorgeous view- I mean each one of those trees was an amazing array or reds, yellows, and oranges.  My picture does not do it justice!
The baby/dog whisperer- that dog is seriously smiling!
Some of the gals

A night wouldn't be complete without a dance party, right?  Plus, the guys wearing our faux fur!!

enough about red- let's give pink some love!!

freakishly fun facts
Since it is Halloween and all- here are some facts to set you on your way tonight!!

  1.  $1.9 billion is spent each year on candy, making Halloween the largest grossing candy holiday
  2. Harry Houdini became America's most well-knowned magician from the age of 17.  It was only fitting then for him to pass on October 31, 1926 from a ruptured appendix.
  3. 35 million pounds of candy corn and produced each year (that's a HUGE stomach ache!)
  4. Savannah Georgia is the most haunted city in the U.S.- thanks to it's deep history and underground water for deep lurking spirits.  (If you're looking for a place close by- Alton, Illinois has also been classified as one of the most haunted cities in the U.S.)

Have a spooktacular day!!
