As you can probably tell, I'm a huge fan of one pieces, it just so happens that my torso is soo long...they just don't fit.
Needless to say, I have my fair share of high waist suits that work just fine!

I'm off to drift away in the ocean.
Wouldn't that be awesome right now?

wedge in some style!

With temps on the rise, what better way to revamp your winter wardrobe than with a great spring shoe!
Step it up with these patterns and new twists on the old wedge.  Let's face it, no matter what your shoe style may be, a wedge is the perfect combination.  It has height so it elongates your legs but it's also incredibly comfortable.  I wear them all summer long; from play dates to happy hour.

wedge it in.

for reals.
can you hardly wait for warmer weather to approach us?
and for you that have been living in the warmth of the sun all year long.
kudos.
now wear those cute shoes!

yes please!

We're celebrating my friends' 30th this weekend- so I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate.

Sit back and enjoy the weekend.

my day...

This is how my day went:

I mean, I wake up early every day, but it felt SO early this morning.
Usually I can get Linden to watch some tv with me and snuggle.
Not this morning, she was ready to take on the world.
me? not so much.

Maybe this was why I was so tired this morning?

lazy or getting old?

it was actually the most beautiful day here today.  we spent most of it at the park, going on  a walk, and of course chowing down on some frozen yogurt!

of course she had the BIGGEST smile after I took the picture.
stinker.

bunker up.

Last Sunday morning a wonderful man, my uncle, passed away from a brutal fight with pancreatic cancer.
My family and I have been busy traveling and spending quality time with family.
The service was quite beautiful and being the "planner of all planners", my uncle had it planned perfectly.
a great uncle, a great father, a great son, a great boss, a great co worker, a great friend, a great husband.
He was great.  He will be terribly missed.
We love you.

On a much different note, my husband and I are at it again.  It seems as when a year comes around, we must sell and buy again.  Although this time, we mixed it up.  We decided to rent since we didn't find anything on the market last year and now it's a whole new ballgame.  We have seen lots and liked lots.
Which brings me to today's topic.  Bunk beds.
It's funny how you look at homes differently once you have kids.
It used to be, "Wow- what a great room, this is the perfect wine cellar!!"  Now it's more like, "sweet room, this would be the PERFECT playroom!"
Do I hear an amen?!?

Which one would you pick?

happy tuesday!

(Right?!?!)
